GALERIE FARBLOS
By the Sea - United Kingdom
room 1
|
At around 12,500 kilometres, the British coastline is extremely long and extremely diverse. It has countless bays and islands and offers a varied landscape ranging from chalk cliffs (Dover) to sandy beaches (Cornwall, Northumberland) and salt marshes (Norfolk). It includes dramatic cliffs, idyllic fishing villages, nature reserves (Jurassic Coast) and lively seaside resorts. The coast is characterised by severe erosion and land reclamation. It is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the English Channel and the Irish Sea. The pictures in this exhibition room show a selection of this rich variety. It continues in exhibition room two. |
